RED CROSS WORK.

The takings at the Red Ciflss shop <in Saturday, 19th inst., when Mrs Dolan and Miss Gallagher were in charge, amounted to £15 4s. Miss B. O'Sullivan, Manutahi, won the cake, wkich weighed 91bs, with her guess of 91bs loz. The number of beans in the bottle was 138, and Miss Nellie Sutton with 135 won the prize—a camisole. Last Saturday, May 26, the Mokoia ladies took £38 9s 2d at the Red Cross shop. Mr Tidswell, Mokoia, won the cake, which weighed 81bs, his guess of SILs 3ozs being the nearest. The weight of the sheep was 1181bs, which was correctly guessed by Mr A. H. Guy, Kaponga.
