CONCILIATION PROCEEDINGS ADJOURNED.
BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.WELLIN^GTON, Feb. 13. The position on .the waterfront to-day is much the same as yesterday. The Wanganui boats were worked, but the Victoria, from Napier, is still idle, as the men declined to unload her. Most of the otlher vessels are hung up. The waterside workers' dispute came before the Conciliation Commissioner today, when the assessors appointed, for the union by Commissfoner Hagger were in attendance. Mr Glover, one of the ! Union's assessors, stated that conciliation procedure^ was entirely new to his side, and he a"sk"ed questions relating to the course the proceedings would take. He said that before he could proceed ' with the dispute time would be required lin which to consult other unions and the executive of the local union." Mr Pryor, the employers' agent, agreed to tfes, and Mr Hagger adjourned the proceediftgs until Friday week at 7 p.m. i Mr Flavell (one of the employers' assessors)": "We assume that work will be carried on in the meantime."
