SITUATION AT NAPIER
BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. NAPIER, Feb. 12. The waterside situation at Napier is still unsettled. The Mayor (Mr Vigor Brown) called a meeting of both parties. The watersiders attended, but the employers refused to confer with the men. There is plenty of free labor at the port today, there being fully 20 men in excess of requirements. The Ripple arrived yesterday from Gisborne, but proceeded to Wellington; The wool stores at the Port discharged their wool-workers on • Saturday.
