Messrs Freeman It. Jackson and Co., Ltd., a-eport: —■ At our Wanganui sale on the 7th inst. we yarded V7OO sheep, 300 head of cattle and 80 pigs. We had a large attendance. Sheep sold well and wicn ! the exception of a couple of lines we quitted the yarding at late values. Cattle maintained late quotations. Pigs sold well. We quot>e:—Fat and forward bullocks £16 5 S to £16 15s, fresh bullocks £13 9s 6d to £14 ss, light fat cows £9 5s to £9 10s, forward cows £8 os to £8 12s 6d, stores £5 to £7 17s, fat cows £12 2s 6d, 2 to 2i-year steers £10 4s 6d, cows and calves £10 to £10 11s, 18 months to 2-year steers (good) £9 6s, 2-year steers £7 15s, empty heifers £5 5s to £5 12s 6d, heavy bulls £12 to £13 10s, medium ditto £9 10s to £11, others £3 to £6. Pigs: Heavy porkers £2 6s to £2 Bs, good porkers 37s 6d to £2, medium ditto. 29s to 355, stores 15s 6d to 225, slip's 14s. At Waverley on Friday, the 9th inst , we yarded 5000 sheep and 70 head of cattle. The attendance was good and bidding free throughout. We report a good sale, every line selling at the auction in vendors' favor.
