HSEAYY FIGHTING ON GORIZIA FRONT.
TRIESTE BOMBED BY ITALIAN AIRMEN.

Italian semi-official.—-The Austrians ••recently repeatedly attacked man endeavor to eject the Italians from ud'■vaiiced positions ea6t of Gorizia. There was an intense bombardment, followed Uy infantry advances and desperate •fighting. Some positions were captured, bur. counter-attacks recovered all the ground excepting a few advanced trench ■elements. Hundreds of Austrian dead were lei'l on the field. Austrian, official— Enemy counterattacks at Gorizia broke down. 'We ■took prisoner a further 370. Italian aviators bombed Trieste. The Daily Chronicle's correspondent on the Gorizia front line states that the trench system on both sides has been elaborately developed during the recent •quiet months, sometimes within half-a--dozen yards of each other, while in places the parapets are separated only by an impassable cocoon of entanglements. The hills are everywhere covered with a bewildering complication of gal&orios. tunnels and terraces. (Reuter Service.) ROME, Feb. 12. Three enemy seaplanes attempted- to raid Va'lona. Two were brought down in an air fight, the crews being captured.
