(Australian-N.Z. C.A. and Renter.) (Received Jan. 15, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 14. The Gazette list of Victoria Cross awards mentions Private John Cunningham, of the East Yorks.. When the rest of a bombing section became casualties lie collected bombs and proceeded alone, then returned for a fresh supply and again advanced. He met and killed ten Germans and cleared a trench. A Cross was also awarded to Private David Hoss Lander, of the Scottish Fusiliers, who placed his foot on a fallen bomb. His foot was blown off, but the party was saved.
