SHORTAGE OF REFRIGERATED SPACE.

Mac Donald, Minister of Agriculture, stated to-day that the shortage of refrigerated tonnage for butter and cheese is approaching an acute stage. Storage is limited, and a great quantity, of butter and cheese is coming forward. Shin snace was ~most urgently required for cheese, which could not be kept in store so well as butter. The Minister expected more tonnage would be available within a few months for butter 3 and he «hoped also to learn soon of the imoroved outlook for getting the cheese "away. DTJNEDIN, Dec. 20. Mr Lamb, secretary of the South Island Dairy Association, sent the following cablegram to Mr Massey to-day: Dairy factories, blocked with cheese and butter. Unless space provided must close down.
