The following men will entrain at Hawera on Monday morning next for Trentham: —

Clout (Taiporohenui), W. Bensley (Inaha), A. Reeve (Inaha), E. E. Purdon (Oeo), T. Hey (Auroa), R. L. Rayner (Pihama), E. Tippett (Normanby), H. B. W. Barter (Normanby), E.O. Johnston (Normanby), F. D. Shortt (Opunake), A. Blyth", Pihama), H. J. Hodgson (Okaiawa), A. Baldwin (Meremere), A. W. Goldfinch (Kaupokonui), H. Leat (Manaia), C. Kelly (Te Roti). Mounted Rifles—J. T. Close (Hawera), A. P. Hughes (Kapuni). Artillery—E. F. Mason (Hawera), T. O'Reilly (Hawera). C. H. A'Court and J. W. Cooke (Hawera) will entrain at Thorndon, and C. Bargh (Opunake) will join at Palmerston North.

A. M. Thomson (Hawera), N.C.0., 21st Infantry Reinforcements, and J. C. Wood (Okaiawa), N.C.0., 22nd Mounted Rifles, will also proceed to camp on Monday. ) Sergeant-Major Farrell (Defence staff) and Sergeant-Major Hunter (Territorials) will proceed to Wellington in charge of the men. The Mayor requests the proprietors of business houses in Hawera to allow their employees to get off on Monday morning to enable them tojse present at the send-off to the men'going into camp. The group officers have been advised by headquarters that Cabinet has de-1 tided that married men with more than three children are not to be accepted for service in the Expeditionary Force unless under special circumstances, and only, in cases where proof is forthcoming that dependents are already suitably provided for will they be considered. Corporal Waiter Matthews, of Inglewood, was in Hawera last evening. He is home on a couple of days' leave.
