Republican and progressive party delegates met in conference and discussed for two hours the possibility of harmonising their differences. They then adjourned to report progress made. The conference.was harmonious. The -Progressives discussed only Roosevelt, and the Republicans suggested Fairbanks, Root, Hughes and others.
