The annual meeting of the Egmont Licensing Committee was held In the Courthouse, Eltham, on Wednesday. Present: Messrs W. R. Haselden L. Hill, .E. Parrott, W. C. Dudley, A. H. Christie, and A. H. Guy. Sergeant McNeely represented the police. RENEWALS. Renewals were granted to M. J. Quin (Rahotu Hotel), E. Andrews (Otakeho Hotel), E. Crabtree (Coronation Hotel), C. L. Kasper (Eltham Tlotel), A. C. Brunette (Club Hotel, Opunake), G. ■■ W. Tayler (Central Hotel), and J. Harcourt (Commercial Hotel, Manaia). The committee gave a direction that this hotel must be rebuilt during the next 12 months. An accommodation license was renewed to A. R. Moore, Oeo Hotel. Licenses were granted to T. Griffith (Okaiawa), L. B. Brown (Waimate Hotel), A. C. Walsh (Opunake Hotel), and C. J. Kirk (Manaia Hotel). The application of T. A. Sowman for a license for the Dominion Hotel, Kaponga, was held over for threemonths pending the carrying out of certain "works. A wholesale license was granted to Mr A. W. Blennerhassett, as having a prior claim to Mr Smalley, another applicant.
