PATRIOTIC PURPOSES.
DARDANELLES STALL
The sale of cut flowers and produce at the Dardanelles flower stall on Saturday will be for the Belgian Children Relief Fund. The proceeds of the sale last week, for the same fund, amounted to £5 10s. Mr W. Rowe, of Normanby, whose support to the stall has been so constant and generous, has given roots of the famous Defiance rhubarb, which will he for sale on Saturday, and also some splendid varieties of beans, introduced by the late Mr J. Livingston and grown by Mr Rowe. At a well-attended meeting of ladies at the Borough Council Chambers, at -which his Worship the Mayor presided, 'it was resoVed to hold a —.-.-patriotic stall at the Dominion Winter Show, the funds to be devoted to the following purposes: The Lord "Mayor's Fnnd for the Relief of Bel- , jrian Children, +i->e V.M.C.A., and the "New Zealand War Committee, London. Generous svrroort will doubtless he given to the ladies who have undertaken this good work.
