The meeting passed votes of am reeL ation of the action of ae'-vsoaow employees who went to the front end sympathy with the relatives oi those who have falien. The president's address referred at length to the difficulties in connection with supplies oi paper emphasising rle xnousness of the position as to the extra freight; on paper and th© increased charges of press telegrams. Regarding paper, it was pointed out that many offices are short of supplies, and the position is getting more acute daily. A very heavy agenda paper was gone through. It was decided to consider the question of paper supplies at a special meeting on Wednesday evening. .* *j*elig was re-elected president: Mr h. Hyman. vice-president; Mr J. S. Berry, secretary and treasurer. A vote of thanks was passed for the hospitality extended to the Association's delegates t6 the World's Press Congress at San Francisco and it was decided to invite the members of the Press Congress, to be held at Sydney m 1918, to visit New Zealand, and to request the Government to grant them facilities for travel in the Dominion.
