BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION

INVERCARGILL, Jan. 11. A fire occurred at Ahe. Bluff this morning which resulted in the destruction of two wooden shops and serious damage to the Harbor Beard offices. The loss is estimated at £4000. Clapman (grocer) was insured for £1400, and Stewart (tobacconist) for £150, and both were complete losses. The Board's offices were insured for £3000.
