MISS CAVELL'S MURDER.
WHAT FRENCHWOMEN FEEL
The following stirring letter from Frenchwomen is addressed to the women ,of England:—"Sisters of England 1 —The women of France are in unison with you in the feelings of horror, admiration, and indignation which surge up in your hearts- in the face of the martyrdom of Edith Cavell. We Frenchwomen wish to affirm to you" that this tragedy moves us as it does yourselves. Our tears flow as do yours, our nands are outstretched to press yours more tenderly and more strongly'than ever before. Know well that our soldiers are as resolute as are your noble volunteers to avenge that innocent victim, that model of patriotism, whose sublime death will be an everlasting example. In Edith Cavell were united the finest qualities which we admire in all of lier countrywomen. She walked forth to her execution like a true Englishwomen, quitely, piously, proudly, clasping to her heart/which a terrible "death was so soon to silence, the colors of her country. She is on r sister'also, 0 sisters of England! We will love you better through her. Her adorable image represents to .is the image of all of vcu. All honor to England which ha® such dausrliters to be proud of! The women of France will aid you in the glorification of this pure heroine". And we will draw from the remembrance of her. women of England and women of France, the energy to accept to the end the hardest necessities of a War which will liberate the world and punish a nation of executioners." The letter is signed bv the members of the Committee of the Crusade of Frenchwomen.
