WHAT FRENCHWOMEN FEEL

The following stirring letter from Frenchwomen is addressed to the women ,of England:—"Sisters of England 1 —The women of France are in unison with you in the feelings of horror, admiration, and indignation which surge up in your hearts- in the face of the martyrdom of Edith Cavell. We Frenchwomen wish to affirm to you" that this tragedy moves us as it does yourselves. Our tears flow as do yours, our nands are outstretched to press yours more tenderly and more strongly'than ever before. Know well that our soldiers are as resolute as are your noble volunteers to avenge that innocent victim, that model of patriotism, whose sublime death will be an everlasting example. In Edith Cavell were united the finest qualities which we admire in all of lier countrywomen. All honor to England which ha® such dausrliters to be proud of! The women of France will aid you in the glorification of this pure heroine". And we will draw from the remembrance of her. women of England and women of France, the energy to accept to the end the hardest necessities of a War which will liberate the world and punish a nation of executioners."
