LONDON WOOL SALES
The Department of Agriculture, Industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, dated London, November 18, 1915, in regard to the closing of the colonial wool sales:
The wool sales closed with strong market, and the demand greater than the supply. America and Continent are buying freely. Russian orders for army clothing helped the market. Best wools in small supply. Prospects are favorable; 10,000 bales slipe wools held over. Estimated values: Superior merinos, Is 5d to Is 8d; medium merinos, Is Id to Is 4d; inferior merinos, lOd to Is; fine crossbreds, all grades, Is 6d to Is 8d: medium crossbreds, all grades, Is id to Is 7d; coarse crossbreds, all grades. Is 2d to Is sd.
