Ihe 3eron<t comprised feoims hv -Mrs Johnsbn Miss Campbell, Messrl Johnson, ,0. E. Smith and Whitehorn and a recitation by Miss Kelly. All me numbers wore most enthusiastically ?£S?' Mr Graced orchestra'rendered.selections duiiJig the evening" and the Hawera Citizens' Band also played v several selections. There; were a number of competitions, gu^sinK and otherwise. The winners were as foX teiTll^ Mr Baldry; nailopm;doll in pram (presented by Mrs »■ A. Burgess), Averil Lvsaaht- cat (Kaiser Bill), Mis Turton^ dollVpresenter by Mrs Burt), Miss Cowen; wedbottle Mr Whitehorn (prize, cushion). Miss Cowen gave the doll back to be Sn Ut& a«cUon, when it realised 20s. Mr Cowen did the same with, the .cake, and bought it in for 15s The handsome wedding cake present-, ea to the produce stall at St. Mary's 1 lower Show and won by Mr Grant Cowen^ has been given by him to be sold on behalf of the Wounded SolSf' SV W Missions, and the Church Bmlding Funds. Smith and l^aston_ will offer the cake to-morrow (Saturday) at 2 p.m in the Royal Mart. The sale will be subject to a snght reserve.
