A.V.C. AWARD
'(Received Sept. 10. 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 9. Lieutenant Forshaw, of the Manchesters, has been awarded the Victoria Cross for conspicuous bravery on Augwst 9 when holding an exposed corner of a vineyard at Gallipoli. He was bomb-throwing continuously for fortyone hours.
