RAILWAYMEN'S RESPONSE.
WELLINGTON, Sept. 5. Up to dato 1375 employees in the Railway Department have either gone to the front, are in camp, or have enlisted and waiting to be called up. This comprises approximately 10 per cent, of the 14.000 railway employees of New Zealand. All branches of this service are represented, and nearly all recruits are single men.
