WOOLWICH ARSENAL

STILL WORKING BELOW FULL

CAPACITY

[Received July 1, 10.30 a.m.)

LONDON, June 30

Mr Will Crooks, in an interview, said that Woolwich Arsenal even now was working one-third below its capacity, and munitions which might be made at Woolwich were made elsewhere.

The Chronicle, commenting on this, points out instances of orders promptly executed at Woolwich, while private firms were behind. The War Office gave orders without arranging for delivery in good time.
