Mlis Loftman, a widower, aged 53 Co m e™£° yee °f Af J Union Steamship Company, was killed instantly tr-is evening m upper Willis street Loft man seems to have moved off to catch an up-bound car, not noticing another approaching, rapidly from the opposite direction^ which was on the down grade. This car struck and threw him against the kerb. His injuries were so severe as to cause death at once.
