EVIDENCE AT DE WET'S TRIAL.
(Eeeeived June 17, 10.30 a.m.) BLOEMFONTEIN, June 16. General Smuts in evidence said that De Wet's rebellion had delayed the German South-west African operations for months and gave the enemy very material aaeeistance.
General Smuts emphasised that he had not discovered anything to suggest taa± Be Wet Ihad been in communication with the Germans.
