WELLINGTON, June 16. The High Commissioner reports from London on June 16th at 3.15 p.m.: — In Shavli district fighting was continued without substantial change. On the Narew front on the night of Sunday the enemy made an unsuccessful attack in the direction of the Mishenetzvaks region. , Several enemy attacks were repulsed north of Przasnysz. In Galicia, the Germans are bringing up new forces/for the first time supported by. strong artillery, and advanced on Saturday in the Jaroslav district on the right bank of the San. After three days' desperate fighting the Russians retreated for some distance on the right bank between the Lubaczowka and Wisznia, rivers. -On the Dneister on Sunday, on the left of the Tismenica and Stryi, the Russians captured 1200 prisoners, 39 officers, and seven machine guns. On the same day the Germans attacked the districts south of Zydaczow and occupied the village of Rozuzno. At dawn on the following day the Russians retook the village, of Zurawko, capturing a gun and several machine guns. The Germans fired after showing the white flag and were killed in subsequent fighting. On Sunday the enemy continued the attack at Nieezniow with considerable forces and guns. The Russians repulsed the attacks and captured 1500 prisoners. Between the Dneister and the Pruth from Czeraowitz the Russians retired across the State frontier.
