TARANAKI HUNT

Owing to the North Taranaki Hunt receiving a telegram from the Minisister of Internal Affairs granting the Hunt permission to hold their race meeting during the present racing season, the committee has decided to hold it on July 29, instead of in August, as originally arranged. The following programme has been drafted for the meeting:—Hunters' Handicap Flat Race, of 30 soys., 1J mile; Stratford Hack Handicap, of. 45 soys., 5 furlongs; Ladies Bracelet Handicap Steeplechase, of 25 soys. and bracelet to the value of 10 soys., about 2 miles; Waihi Hack Handicap, of 45 soys., 7 furlongs; North Taranaki Hunt Cup Handicap Steeplechase, of 100 soys. and cup valued at 20 soys. (presented by the Taranaki Jockey Giub), about 3 miles; Lepperton Hunters' Hurdle Race, of 40 soys., 1$ 'miles; Opunake Hack Handicap, of 45 soys., 5 furlongs.

The Hunt is giving away 340 soys. in stakes and a cup valued at 20 soys. By arranging for the, meeting during the present, season the Hunt will be able to hold another meeting in August, 1916.
