- Sir James Fairfax has (says a Sydney message) been appointed president of ,the National Art Gallery. The price of milk has been raised to Is 8d per gallon in Melbourne (says a Press Association message). At the quarterly meeting of the 1T.A.0. Druids Lodge, held last evening, A.D. Bro. G. Longstaff presided over a good attendance of member.s. A good deal of routine business was disposed of,- including payment of dues amounting to £98. Harding, who handled his subject in a very masterly manner, and the brethren thoroughly enjoyed the extra hour thus spent.
