At Westfield beef values .receded. I Choice ox brought to £2, prime to £1, 18s, ordinary to £1 14s per 1001b. Steers brought to £17 10s, cows and heifers to £11 17s 6d." Fat young calves were in steady demand, but values were lower. Runners brought to £6 9s, heavy suckers to £3 15s, medium to £2 10s. Sheep sold freely. Heavy prime brought to £1 8s 9d, medium to £1 ss, extra heavy prime ewes to £1 6s 3d. Best lambs brought to £1 Is 9d, good to 18s 6d.
