SUGAR SHORTAGE
SYDNEY, May 18. The Hwi. Mr Hall, after conferring vnth-Mr Knox (manager of the Colonial Sugai: Company) stated that the sugar shortage has been overcome. He proposes to ask for the suspension of the duty for six weeks from the end of July, to enable the importation of enough from Java or. Fiji to carry on until next season's crop.
