SUPPOSED SPIES ON TRIAL

(Received May 19. 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, May 18. The trial has opened before Chief Justice Avory and. Judge Rush at the Old Bailey of Kuepferle, a supposed German spy who arrived from-America. Sir John Simon, Attorney-General is prosecuting. Accused left New York on February 4th as a tfhird^elass passenger in the Arabic, representing himself as an American, and arrived at Liverpool on the 14th. Muller and Hahn (Avho were also arrested as spies) will be tried separately.
