WELCOME RAIN IN HAWSE'S BAY
NAPIER, March. 18. The best rainfall experienced since r^May of last year set in last night, and Ogives every promise of continuing. Reports from the country indicate that the fall is widespread, and will do immeasurable good. HASTINGS, March 18. Half an inch of rain has fallen since last night, and still continues. The country badly needs it.
