PECULIAR FATALITY

DUNEDIN, Dec. 3. lhe Coroner opened an inquest this morning on the remains of James lfaomas l\iev*e, who was found dead at otrachan and Co.'s brewery yesterday ™ an electric light under his chin' \\hen Cornelius Moss, another employee, went to-lift him, he (Moss> experienced a slight electric shock lhere was a burn under Neye's chin i and Dr McKellar, who made a superficial examination of the body, said it presented three symptoms of death by electrocution The Coroner said the lamp might have caused a burn, but there was doubt whether the electric current was sufficiently strong to cause the death of p. nealthy man. The inquest was adjourned till next clay, for the purpose of having a post-mortem pxamination, and also to obtain expert' evidence regarding the condition of the lamp.
