A SCHEME APPROVED.

LONDON, Dec. 9,

Lord Moulton, at a meeting of Lancashire and Yorkshire business men, explained the national dye-works scheme. The Government propose that dye-works should raise three millions of share capital if the Government guaranteed the debentures, and issue H millions. Lord Moulton said that two million pounds worth of dyes were consumed in Britain annually, and they were essential for industrial prouiicts of a value of two hunderd million sterling, upon which li million men were dependent. Only a tenth of the dyes, used were now being produced and the British stock was rapidly diminishing, and Germany was exerting intense pressure to prevent Sweden giving help. The meeting unanimously approved of the proposal.
