SUCCESSFUL SERVIAN OFFENSIVE.
BULGARIA'S ATTITUDE. i WISHES TO PRESERVE I NEUTRALITY. (Received Dec. 9, 10.30 a.m.) NISH, Dec. 9. A communique states that a fierce Servian offensire continues successfully on the entire front. The .enemy is retreating everywhere, abandoning guns and material, and many prisoners have been taken. SOFIA, Dec. 9. Though it is generally considered that Bulgaria's interests lie on the side of the Entente, Bulgaria is not disposed at present to begin hostilities. The agricultural population is especially opposed to a winter campaign, and the Government proposes to maintain a friendly neutrality as long as possible, and* to agree not to attack Greece or Roumania or to act independently of the Entente. M. Radoslavoff, interviewed, stated that Bulgaria desired to remain neutral, but will occupy Macedonia if Austria advances thither. M. Gueshoff declares that public opinion is adverse to the occupation of Macedonia without the Entente's consent.
