BEEF TRUST COMMISSION

(Received Dec. 3, 2.15 pm \ • SYDNEY, Dec' 3. The Beef Trust Commission's report states that there is no evidence of concerted action on the part of the Swifts, Morris and Armour Companies. The Commission recommends that the development of the activities of these companies should be carefully followed, and the obtaining of the co-operation of State and Imperial Governments. It does not propose to recommend further special action beyond any legislation proposed to deal generally with detrimental monopolies. The evidence does not show any agreement among exporting firms for the purpose of suppressing competition and fixing or regulating prices.
