The Socialists in Germany are discontented at their leaders' decision to support the new war demand for five milliard marks. I Impartial investigators report in j connection with Austrian atrocities in Servia that 1143 civilians were mutilated or murdered in different villages. One hundred and nine hostages of ages from eight to eighty, wero taken at JLechnitza, placed on the edge of a. trench, fastened together at the elbows and shot. Soldiers immediately filled up the trench without bothering to ascertain whether the victims were dead. Other hostages were compelled to witness this butchery. AMSTERDAM, Dec. 2. The Telegrah states that when the locks were opened at Nieuport three -thousand Germans were cut off and desired to surrender. People have reported that the German artillery opened on their own men and only 220 survived. Petrograd advices opine that 1-50 guns recently despatched to Dantzig, must have been for German warships feeing Constructed there. It is not expected that these vessels will be ready until next year, but it is believed the work has been considerably expedited.
