tTT CABLE— PREPS ASSOCIATION— COPy/MGHT (Received Dec. 2, 12.80 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 1. lieutenant Aubrey Fletcher, of the Grenadier Guards, who was wounded »nd is now in England, relates that his <division of 15,003 was ordered to hold * front of eight miles at all costs till reinforced. He says: "We were faced ty -about 75,000, including some of the Kaiser's crack regiments, and the Germans occasionally broke through by sheer weight of numbers, but were alTtfays driven back. We held them for *«n days. When help came, of 15,000 Guards only 2800 remained. My own "fcattalion of 1000 lost 800 men and 28 «r 30 officers.'?
