. • The Friendly Societies' Social. Club has. undertaken the organisation of a sports- gathering on behalf of this most ' worthy object. On Labor Day, Monday next, a treasure hunt and •some competitions will be held at King •Edward Park in the afternoon. The Organisers -hope that the public will -support them in this undertaking and help by their attendance and othef;wise to swell the funds. A large number/of prizes have been allotted for and, should the weather keep -up, an interesting afternoon is assured to those who attend the gathering.
