WELLINGTON, Oct. 21 •I 6 lre^ Ult 0f recent communications, with the Department of Agriculture on. che question of the provision of a cool gore for cheese at Wellington, theHarbor Board to-night resolved to confer with the Department and representatives of cheese factories. TheBoard is agreeable to provide cool storage, conditionally on the Government requiring that all cheese, shipped tronv Wellington pass: through theBoards store, except such graded cheese as. may be transhipped immediately on arrival. It was estimated that a charge of eight shillings per ton would have to be made.
The Agricultural Department poinfe out that this charge is stated to behigher than any made at other ports,, and shippers may demur at the payment thereof.
