THE ELECTIONS

LABOUR POLICY IN WELLINGTON

HT 'TELEGRAPH —PHESB ASSOCIATION

WELLINGTON, Oct. 21. A meeting of the Labour Representation Committee decided that the only seats in Wellington to be contested by Labour should be east, south and suburbs. If more than one is nominated, a postal ballot is to be taken. A letter was received from the Social Democratic Party declining to take any further share in the deliberations of the committee. This Party will contest Wellington North only, and H. Holland was chosen as candidate.
