WELLINGTON SKIN SALES.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd.. Wellington, report:

There was a -large attendance of buyers at Friday's wool, sheepskin, hide and tallow sale, and bidding was exceedingly lqeen for all sheepskins and the few lots of oddments of wool offered. In view of the keen demand for wool suitable for army requirements, the sale was expected to be a good one, and we can quote sheepskins a farthing to a halfpenny per pound higher than last sale. Hides were in good demand at prices equal to last sale. For tallow there was a slightly better enquiry. As the confidence of buyers has now been restored, and many have, urgent orders to fill, we would recommend farmers to send in their station produce for sale while the demand is good.
