BOWLING.
OPENING OF OPUNAKE GREEN
Opunake green was opened for play yesterday, and a large gathering of bowlers was present. Mr Dudley, president of Opunake. Club, welcomed the visitors, and Mr Foy at the close of the game returned thanks, expressing the visitors' pleasure with the green and appreciation'of the hearty hospitality shown. The jack was thrown by Mrs Thome, and the 'usual game, President v. Vice-President, was played with the following results:— . Parkes, McGregor, Foden, Dudley (s) 15 v.
