GERMAN REQUEST REFUSED

AMSTERDAM, Oct. 13

General yon der Goltz, the German Governor of Belgium, has sent a missiOn to Holland to ask for foodstuffs for Brussels. The request was refused.

The Dutch Government is closely watching all exports.

The emissaries pleaded that Brussels has no salt, yeast, or flour, and scarcely any.' meat, while th,e feread is uneatable.
