HORSE AMBULANCES OBSOLETE

BULGARIA SIDING WITH AUSTRIA

STRONG REPRESENTATIONS BY

THE ENTENTE

LONDON, Oct. 13

The Times' medical correspondent reports that horse ambulances are obsolete under modern battle conditions, and motor ambulances essential.

The Times' correspondent at Nish says that Bulgaria has now gone to the length of according Austria facili-r ties for interfering with the passage on the Danube of Russian war material destined.for Servia. As the Servian operations cannot be hampered without increasing the difficulties of the Russian campaign against' Austria, it is not surprising that strong representations, have been made at Sofia by the Entente Powers. It is understood that King Ferdinand's Government is still considering its reply.
