[Br Telegraph—Special to Stah.] . WELLINGTON, Sep. 23. Mr Banter's Gaming Bill is to be *he principal subject of discussion at "to-day's sitting of the House of Representatives.
The Lands Committee, which has considered a large number of petitions sent in this session by holders of Education leases who ask for the freehold, has reported.that the matter is.one of policy for the Government to consider, but m its; opinion legislation should be introduced giving uniformity of tenure to all Education lessees. • Ten days' „ extension of time to prepare a. report hasbeen given to the and Freights Committee, which has in hand the important task of making recommendations regarding increases .fin freights announced by the •owners of Home trade vessels.
