The fourteenth general meeting of the New Zealand Dairy Association will be held at Hamilton on the 21st instant. A copy of the report and balance-sheet to be presented to the-hsareholders has reached us, and inter alia, it is stated that the past year has been one of progress, with increased narkets; agencies had been opened in America. The strika is alluded to as having militated against even better results being obtained than those recorded. It is added:"The butter manufactured during th.3 year was 11,343,512ib5, this being an increase of i 1,218,6581bs on preceding year's make. The average butter-fat quality of milk was 3.769 per cent. The overrun was 17.7 per cent. The skim milk test averaged over all creameries was 0.04 per cent. The sum of £15,052 10s has been allotted for the payment of a profit bonus of |d per lb upon the but-ter-fat received during the year. Provision has been mare for tlie payment of a dividend of 6 per cent, on the capital paid up on June 30th, on shares allotted before March 31 last. The directors recommend this payment, which will alworb £4469 4s sd. The total payments on a butter-fat basis to shareholders at the Association's largest crea,meries for the year average the very satisfactory sum of 12.338 d. (over 12 5-16 d) free of deduction for cartage or other account. The shareholder suppliers to the Association's smaller creameries receive proportionately leas, according to the amount of their quantity bonus. Where skim milk has been used for casein manufacture an additional lid per lb. butter-fat has been paid, plus the return to suppliers of fortified casein whey. The unusually large sum of £7037 lls lid has been expended upon repairs, renewals, and general maintenance for the year. The sum of £4389 8s Id has been set aside for depreciation. The receipts for the year ("including £93 0s 3d balance brought forward) were £92,353, 9s &1. and the expenditure £68.503 9<? 10d, leaving a credit balance of £23,849 19s lid."
