WEDDING.

HUWILER—WARD

A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Barnabas' Church, Opunake, on Wednesday, August 5th 3 between Miss Antonia Mary Ward second daughter of Mrs M "Ward of Opunake and Mr Herbert E. Huwiler only son of Mr and Mrs Huwiler, of Te Kiri. The service was fully choral, and was performed by the Rev. O. M. Stent. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr 'Walter Ward, was handsomely attired in a square trained dress of beautiful white satin charmeuse. trimmed with silk lace and insertion, and a spray of oranre blossom. She carried a "beautiful "shower bouquet, the sift of the bridegroom's mother. The bridesmaids were Miss Josephine Ward (<sister of the bride) and Miss Grade Huwiler (sister of the bridegroom). The former wore a, beautiful white eharmeuse dress and the latter a pretty white silk dress with lace tunic. The bridegroom was supported by Mr W. Russell as best man, and Master Ward as groomsman. The church was very prettily decorated by friends of the bride. Mrs Feaver played the Wedding March. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to tho home of the bride's mother, where tho wedding breakfast was served. Later in the afternoon Mr and Mrs Huwiler left by motorcar amifl showers of rice and" confetti for Wellington, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The wedding presents were numerous and handsome,
