There was a fair attendance at the meeting of householders, with Mr Wilhs m the chair. The balance-sheet which was read and adopted showed a credit balance of £19.* The Chairman, m his report, stated that the committee had made a number of improvements to the school ground, ploughing all the enclosure after stumping it. and laying it down in grass, fencing a part off for an asphalt tennis court and school garden Mr ODea had recommended to the Board that a new lobby should be built on to the school and a new shelter shed for the children to play m. This was left for the incoming committee to superintend, as was also the asplialtinc: of the new court. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the old committee for their services during the year. The committee for the ensuing year was elected as follows: Messrs C. Amos, W. Willis A. E. Washer. W. Tayler, W. Green, S. Couchman. and W: Dick. At a subsequent meeting. Mr Washer was elected chairman, and Mr S. Couchman secretary for the committee. Special mention was made of Mr H. Hodge's services on the committee, he having served as a committeeman for 22 years, and regret was expressed at his determination to retire.
