MAN ARRESTED
Ml OABU— PBBSB ASSOCIATION—COPY&IQHT. SYDNEY, May 5. This morning's hold-up at Darlinghur&t was the most sensational foiyears. It occurred at one o'clock. About 20 persons were in the house, celebrating the birthday of one of the family. Suddenly a tall masked man entered, and presented a revolver, demanding "hands up I" The party was etaggered. The maskad .man then whistled, and three others appeared. The owner of the house entei--«d a protest but was silenced by the cursing men, who pushed revolvers in trite face. The party was stood in a «emi-circlt> while the intruders calmly went through their pockets and stole £600 in money and jewellery. One guest attempted to escape by the back door, but a robber promptly fired liis revolver, bringing him to a standstill. - ■ AftoFclearing out the party, the men ■backed through the door, still threatening with revolvers, boarded motor cars, and decamped. Later, detectives arrested David Keenahan, aged 25, who was charged with assaulting and rob--I>ing one of the guests. He was remanded on bail of £1600.
