LONDON, April 27

"Lord Alfred Douglas .has not surrendered himself to the police. The prosecution stated that out of revenge for -the publication of Mr Ransome's book on Oscar Wilde, Crosland and Douglas «onspired to accuse Ross of associating *with Charles Garrett, son of a charTvoman. It is also stated that while Garrett was in prison on a charge of Bxnportuning, Douglas promised him money if he would accuse Ross.

Garrett, a charwoman, gave evidence that Crosland asked her to sign a form authorising a writ against Ross, statins; that her doing so would mean a thousand pounds to herself and her son.
