All British residents have been warned to leave Mexico. _ The constitutionalists have united with Huerta's forces along the northern border to resist American invasion. The breaking off of diplomatic relations plunged both countries into a state of war. It is believed that Huerta will promulgate a general amnesty in order to enable both, factions to combine. General Mans, .with, reinforcements, is reported to be moving to retake Vera CJrnz. Violent anti-American demonstrations broke out at Chihuahua, Torreon, and other northern towns, and only the strenuous effort of local authorities prevented outrage.
