ELTHAM.

(FftoM Our Own Correspondent/;

The goods traffic at the Eltham railway station continues to increase. The amount collected for goods in March last was £2474 13s Bd, as against £1950 19s 7d for the corresponding month last year; an increase of £523 12s Id. The passenger traffic shows a decrease, but this is accounted for by the fact that the Easter traffic (which for two days has amounted to £120) is not included in the return.

The Roman Catholic Church and School have been removed to the new site on Stanners Street. The improvements that are being made to the grounds and buildings are of the most modern kind. An, additional section of land has been acquired for a paddock for the school children's horses, and a strip of land has also been acquired for a roadway between Cornwall and Stanners streets. A site has been selected for a priest's residence, and a convent will also be built. Father Cahill has been chiefly instrumental in these improvements, and is to be congratulated on his work.
