OPERA HOUSE, TO-NIGHT.
A remarkable programme will be presented at the Opera House to-night for one night only. It includes some of the finest pictures ever exhibited here, and tho film entitled "The Bridge of Terror" stands alone in its exceptional character. It is a sensational drama depicting forcefully the story of two young men and a girl. The young men are rivals in their profession and in love. They are set in competition to draw designs of a new bridge. One is persevering and industrious; the other lacking in grit and ability. The successful designer wins the hand of the girl. Jealousy grows to hatred; and the defeated man plans the death of his rival. His purpose is carried out by an ingenious arrangement on the newlyerected bridge. The picture concludes with a dramatic denouement, and a capital story, which holds its witnesses captive, gives place to another fine picture. This is "The Feudists," which is said to be the funniest farce ever shown. The remaaining items are of a varied nature, but wholly in keeping with the high standard of th© star features. Tho management promises one of the best series ever shown in Hawera, so that those who visit the Opera House can look forward to a pictorial treat.
